If I may say, you were doing fine. You'd pointed out that the kids were, in fact, alright. Which is true, they are. But then you had to kind of ruin it by pointing at and name calling an entire group of your fellow humans. It seems the current discussions on anything are two groups shouting 'I'm not the problem - YOU"RE the problem!' rather than the reality that at root there is no problem. Nobody has an issue with trans kids, or adults. But, people calling conservative white men fascists is what is actually creating the pushback, the uptick in anti-trans rhetoric, all by itself. Try not employing contempt and see how that goes. Everyone.
